Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah region inaugurated here today the 9th session of Jeddah Economic Forum. Upon arrival at the venue, he was received by Prince Mishaal bin Majid bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jeddah, Dr. Hashim bin Abdullah Yamani, the Minister of Commerce and a number of officials. A speech ceremony was held on this occasion. In his speech, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal stressed the Kingdom's seeking for achieving a quantum leap in the fields of economy, industry, science and knowledge, citing in this regard the establishment of King Abdullah Economic City and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. He called on investors and businessmen in the world to invest in the areas of trade and tourism in the Kingdom. On his part, Dr. Yamani commended the advanced position achieved by the Kingdom in the race of civilizations through its adoption of economic reform strategies aimed at achieving a long-term sustainable development to reach the ranks of the first world countries.
