Public Authority for Social Insurances (PASI) and the International Labor Organization (ILO) agreed on Tuesday on boosting cooperation for enhancing insurances to cover workers in private sector, SABA reported. Chairman of the PASI Ahmad Saif reviewed here with a delegation of the ILO headed by the regional advisor of social insurance Christian Bryant the insurance situation in Yemen and successes achieved by PASI during the last 20 years as well as its ambitions to expand insurances to cover different society classes in and out of the country. Saif talked about difficulties PASI faces including absence of insurance awareness in the society and among owners of private facilities as well as the insurance evasion. The ILO showed its initiative for providing technical support in the training fields the PAIS needs for raising performance level.
