Oil prices in Asia rose Friday, adding to a rebound that started overnight as a more stable stock market calmed investors fears about the health of the U.S. economy, the Associated Press reported. Light, sweet crude for March delivery rose 41 cents to US$88.52 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange by midday in Singapore. The contract rose 97 cents to settle at $88.11 a barrel overnight.
