Minister of transport Dr Jubara al-Sireisiri , who is the Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Railways Organization (SRO), has thanked the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General, on the occasion of the issuance of the Cabinet's decision pertaining to the establishment of the railways commission. In a statement to SPA, he said the decision embodies the great attention given by the Saudi Leadership to the railways sector which constitutes one of the most important economic development sectors. Earlier the supreme economic council approved the implementation of the projects of North-South railway, the land bridge and Makkah Madinah express train.
