The Education Ministry has allocated building and furnishing of about 1,140 new complexes and schools for boys in various parts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at a total cost of SR 5,161 million. This comes in line with the plans of the Ministry to get rid of rented buildings as schools. This was announced by Eng Abdullah Al-Fozan, the Under Secretary of the Education Ministry for school buildings, in a statement to The Saudi Press Agency (SPA). He noted that this development comes in addition to 1,960 educational projects, which have already been approved at a total cost of about SR 9, 925 million. This will raise the cost of the school projects for boys to nearly SR 15 billion, he added. Eng Al-Fozan said 479 school projects implemented with a capital expenditure of SR 9 billion have been received by the Ministry. Meanwhile, Al-Fozan said the Ministry has purchased 565 land plots for the educational projects at total cost of SR 1,806 million.
