Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi arrived here Sunday for a working visit to Spain, according to Bernama. Abdullah, who flew in via a special aircraft, was accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Jeanne Abdullah. Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar also arrived with them. At Torrejon military airport, he was received by Malaysian Ambassador to Spain, Datuk Naimun Ashakli Mohammad. On Tuesday, Abdullah will attend the First Alliance of Civilisations annual forum which seeks to find ways to bridge the growing divide between nations and cultures worldwide and to establish new partnerships to promote global understanding. On the sidelines of the forum, he will call on Spanish Premier Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero.
