Finnish Foreign Minister Ilkka Kanerva was due to visit Germany next week for talks with his German counterpart Frank- Walter Steinmeier, the Finnish Foreign Ministry said Friday, according to dpa. Items on the agenda during the January 8-9 visit include the situation in Kosovo, relations between the European Union and Russia, and developments in the EU, the statement said. The two officials were also likely to discuss Finland's plans as chair of the 56-nation Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). Finland assumed the OSCE chair on January 1. The Baltic Sea region and the implementation of the Lisbon Treaty were other topics.
