The European Commission said Monday that it was concerned about possible irregularities in the recent elections in Kenya, according to DPA. Kenya's judicial authorities must ensure a fair outcome to the elections, the commission send. The commission called on all sides to eschew violence and find a political solution. Kenya was sinking further into violence after President Mwai Kibaki was returned to power in contested elections that have inflamed ethnic tensions. At least 54 people have been killed in the unrest following Thursday's election, according to the Red Cross. Opposition candidate Raila Odinga, who was 230,000 votes behind Kibaki according to the Electoral Commission, has questioned the result.
