At least four people were trapped in a string of blasts triggered by fires that claimed firecracker factories in a Philippine town Monday morning, Xinhua quoted local media as reporting. The local television network ABS-CBN News quoted local police commander as saying the fire, broke out at around 10 a.m., destroyed at least ten firecrackers factories on Bocaue town in Bulacan province to the northeast of Metro Manila. "We are still searching the area because we have information that there were four people left inside the gutted stores," the police officer said. He added that two persons were injured in the blaze. An official with local bureau of fire protection told reporters that the damaged stores were selling firecrackers without legitimate licenses.
