Pakistan's Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Chinese firm for the construction of hospitals and rehabilitation centres the earthquake-affected areas of Azad Kashmir and North West Frontier Province (NWFP), said an official statement. The ERRA signed the MoU with a Chinese company M/s Urumqi Jin Tuo Yu Business and Trade Limited for the construction of two 50-bed hospitals in Abbottabad and Muzaffarabad, six rehabilitation units and four resource information centres in NWFP and Azad Kashmir. Executive Director of National Institute for the Handicapped (NIHd) Dr Jahanzeb Aurakzai and Wu Jang, Chairman of the Chinese company, signed the agreement. This project includes the construction of two state of the art 50 bed hospitals in Abbottabad and Muzaffarabad, three rehabilitation units in Bagh, Hattian, and Athmuqam, three rehabilitation units in Battagram, Ughi and Shangla and four resource information centres.
