Representative of Iran's Supreme Leader to the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), Ali Larijani, discussed major regional and international issues with head of Egypt's national security organization, Omar Sulayman, on Tuesday. Larijani arrived in Cairo Monday evening to tour cultural and academic centers of the country and hold talks with a number of Egyptian officials and scholars, according to a report of Iran's news agency "IRNA." During the meeting, Larijani and Sulayman exchanged views on major bilateral, regional and international developments including the situation in Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine. They also stressed the need for further Tehran-Cairo diplomatic, cultural and security cooperation due to the sensitive situation in the region. They stressed that promotion of bilateral ties and cooperation would lead to restoration of peace and stability in the region, IRNA reported.
