The General Directorate of Civil Defense identified hazardous locations at the holy sites (Mina, Arafat, Mozdalifa) and announced its readiness with a number of medical and ambulatory emergency teams. The General Directorate urged pilgrims to respond to the calls of civil defense and mosque preachers regarding safety and protecion of personal effects. It also urged them not to hasten stoning Jamarat at peak periods due to the fact that crowding and scrambling in such cases might pose risks on pilgrims lives. The General Directorate also urged pilgrims not to carry luggage during pebbling as such act may cause the stumble of pilgrims during the scramble.
