The Council of Ministers, which held a session here today under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-aziz Al-Saud, approved the State's General Budget for the new fiscal year 1428-1429 AH. In his briefing to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Minister of Culture and Information Iyad Ameen Madani said the Council, in line with directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque, reviewed the General Budget for the fiscal year 1428-1429 AH. The Council began the session with recitation of the verses of the holy Quran. The Council, then, discussed the general budget for the fiscal year 1428-1429 AH and approved it. Following this, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-aziz Al-Saud announced the budget in his address to his brothers, sons - the citizens. "In the name of Allah, Most gracious, Most merciful, Brothers and Sisters ' citizens Peace be upon you, ًًWith the grace of Allah Al-mighty, we would like to announce the budget of the new fiscal year 1428-1429 AH, which amounts to SR 410 billion, which is the highest in the Kingdom and exceed the budget of this current fiscal year by SR 30 billion. In this blessed budget, God willing, we have taken into account continuation of directing resources which Allah Al-mighty bestowed on our dear country for spending on fields which enhance sustainable development and preserve what has been accomplished within the framework of the policies and goals that are included in the Eight Development Plan in a manner matching priorities that have been decided by the Supreme Economic Council and in a manner that achieves balanced development. --MORE
