President of the affairs of the Holy Mosque of Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque Sheikh Salih al-Hussein will hand over tomorrow the Kiswa (Dress) of the Holy Kaaba to the Chief 'Saden' (servant) of the Holy Kaaba Sheikh Abdulaziz al-Sheibi as customary every year. The ceremony will be attended by a number of senior officials. The Kiswa is made at the Kiswa factory at Ummal-Joud in Makkah. The total cost of the Kiswa, which is made of pure silk, amounts to SR 20 million. The 16-parts Kiswa is decorated with verses of the Holy Quran and has special Islamic features. Its height is 14 meters and it includes a 47-meter belt. The Kiswa is comprised of five pieces. Of these, four of its pieces cover the four sides of the Kaaba and the fifth piece cover the door of the Kaaba.
