Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the Vice-president of the youth welfare, has highlighted the Kingdom's wise policy and said the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz is the first man of peace in the region. Prince Nawaf, who is leading the Saudi delegation to the constituent conference for the organization of peace and sports, said the Saudi Government is keen on realization of just peace in all regions of the world and on enhancing the pillars of coexistence on the bases of fairness. Prince Nawaf, in his speech before the constituent conference for the organization of peace and sports, said Islam advocates tolerance, justice and fraternity, and does not tolerate violence and aggression. He pointed out that the Saudi leadership has been adopting several peace initiatives at the regional and international arenas, and the Kingdom has been actively working to support any effort that aims at the realization of peace on just bases. Prince Nawaf, who is also the deputy chairman of the Saudi Olympic Committee, said sports sector is one of the most important means for narrowing gaps among the nations. 'It is a high time for the international community to work for realizing security and prosperity', he said. Prince Nawaf noted that the Kingdom receives annually more than ten million Muslims from the various countries of the world who come to perform Hajj, Umrah (minor Hajj) and visit the Prophet's Mosque. About 20 percent of the inhabitants of the world turn their hearts towards the Holy Kaaba of Makkah every day, he said. --more
