A strong earthquake rattled
Indonesia's island of Bali, where thousands of people
gathered from across the globe for a U.N. climate change
conference. There were no immediate reports of damage or
injuries, reported ap.
The underwater tremor had a preliminary magnitude of 5.9
and was centered 250 kilometers (155 miles) southwest of
Jember, in East Java province, the local meteorological
agency reported Friday.
It could be felt in nearby Bali.
