The Russian news agency Novosti highlighted the official visit to Russia by Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, which began today in response to an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin. In a report today, the agency mentioned the bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Russia in a number of fields especially in the economic and commercial spheres reviewing relations between the two countries since 1990. The agency expected the Saudi-Russian talks will focus on the situation in the Middle East including developments in Iraq, Lebanon, the Palestinian lands, the forthcoming meeting in Annapolis on the Palestinian-Israeli settlement, the Iranian nuclear issue, issues pertaining to international and regional security, issues of fighting terrorism and bilateral relations.
