For the first time nine Saudi female students participated in the international conference on small projects, held in Glasgow yesterday with the participation of female students from more than 50 countries. Dean of the college of Dar-al-Hikma in Jeddah Dr Suheir Hassan al-Qurashi said the participation of the Saudi female students in the conference reflects the big strides made by the Saudi girls in the field of higher education. She noted that the college of Dar-al-Hikma had named Na'eema al-Farouqi and Zuleikha Birani, from the members of the college's academic staff, to deliver two working papers at the conference: one on the similarity between the Saudi and American women in the field of small projects, and another on the family works in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. --more
