Proliferation Treaty and subject all its nuclear installations to the system of international inspection and observation, emphasizing the extreme importance of freeing the Middle East region of nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction as a necessary condition for the establishment of any regional security arrangements. The two sides praised the existing cooperation between the two countries in the area of security within the framework of Security Agreement concluded in Jeddah on July 27, 1996.
