Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabr Al Thani opened in Doha today the ministerial preparatory meeting for the 28th GCC summit scheduled for Doha next December. Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Foreign Minister, led Saudi Arabia's delegation to the meeting. In a key address at the meeting, Al Thani underscored the special attention paid to the 105th ministerial preparatory meeting for the 28th GCC summit amid the current highly-complicated regional and international circumstances. He said that the Palestinian issue, Middle East conflict, situation in Iraq, developments in Lebanon, risks of nuclear armament and other issues will be thoroughly discussed. A wide-range agenda of political, economic, security, social and environmental issues await serious review by the ministers, he added.
