In the presence of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al- Saud and Italian Premier Romano Prodi a cooperation agreement in the defense field was signed here yesterday evening between The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Italy. Prince Saud Al-Faisal, The Foreign Minister, signed the agreement on the Saudi side, while Italian Defense Minister Artodo Parisi signed on behalf of his country. A cooperation agreement on combating crime was also signed by Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister, and Italian Interior Minister Jolyano Amato. A memo Of Understanding (MOU) between the Health ministries in the two countries was also signed by Prince Saud Al-Faisal and Italian deputy premier and foreign affairs minister Masimo Dalia. Another MOU in the vocational training between the general organization for vocational training and technical education and the Italian ministry of labor and social insurance was also signed by labor minister Dr Ghazi bin Abdulrahman Al-Qusaibi, who is also the chairman of the board of directors of the General Organization for vocational training and technical education, and from the Italian side by Minister of labor and social insurance Chirzi Damyano. A third MOU between the Saudi higher Education Ministry and the Italian Ministry of Universities and research was signed by Culture and Information minister Iyad bin Ameen Madani and Italian Minister of Universities and researches Fabyou Morsi. The function was attended by the official Saudi delegation accompanying the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz as well as members of the Italian Government.
