Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, said he had an “excellent” and “successful” meeting Monday with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in which a range of issues were discussed, including extradition and anti-narcotics agreements. “Our meeting was successful,” Prince Naif said. “I conveyed to President Mubark the King's greetings and we reviewed matters concerning bilateral relations.” Later Prince Naif and Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Ahmad Nadeef attended a signing ceremony of a number of Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) between the two countries. An MoU on scientific cooperation and research as well as one on using biotechnology were signed between King Saud University (KSU) and Mubarak City for Scientific Research and Technology Applications (MuCSAT). KSU and the University of Alexandria signed an MoU in the field of chemistry and biotechnology. An MoU in the field of preparing polymer and its applications was signed between KSU and Cairo University. An MoU in the field of chemistry was signed between KSU and the Egyptian National Research Center. An industrial cooperation agreement was signed between the Saudi Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Industry of Egypt. The program was signed by Saudi Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Abdullah Bin Ahmed Zainal and Egyptian Minister of Foreign Trade and Industry Rachid Mohamed Rachid.
