The right hand of an Egyptian National, convicted of pick-pocketing inside the Grand Mosque, was amputated from the wrist, according to a statement issued here today by the Interior Ministry. The stolen items were confiscated from the culprit -- Amro Mohamed Zarief. These items would be returned to their owners, the statement said. "The Interior Ministry warns all people that strict Islamic Sharia penalties will be applied against all criminals," the statement said.
