Bashir in which they thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his patronage of this session, Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his support to IFA and Prince Khalid Al-Faisal for attending and opening this session. They also commended the efforts exerted by MWL and the Secretariat of IFA. MWL Secretary General Dr. Al-Turki delivered a speech in which he said that "the Islamic Sharia is comprehensive so that it has a rule for any new matters in peoples' lives. These rules are derived by Ulema from their understanding of the Holy Quran and Prophet's traditions in accordance with their interpretation and analogy". He believed that reducing differences is needed, especially in our time. Working on harmonizing the nation and treating the disagreement between its people by resorting to Islamic bodies became the most important duties, he added. Dr. Al-Turki said that Fiqh Academies are one of the tools that work to achieve this goal through collectively addressing jurisprudential issues. --More
