The Executive Director of the World Bank, Shuja Shah, met Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz in Islamabad on Monday, said an official statement. Pakistan's economic progress and reforms have enabled the country to achieve high growth rate, double per capita income and reduce poverty, Aziz Shah. Shah said that the World Bank appreciates the economic management and reforms initiated by the Government of Pakistan and sees itself as long-term development partners of Pakistan. He said that the upcoming visit of World Bank President Robert B. Zoellick will further strengthen the ties between Pakistan and World Bank and will result in increased cooperation between them. --MORE
