Syria and Iran on Monday called for regional cooperation to broker a political solution to the problem of Iraq- based Kurdish militants launching attacks in southern Turkey, according to dpa. Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki told a joint press conference with his Syrian counterpart Walid Moallem that the actions of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) could endanger regional stability. "There should be joint regional cooperation to root out this terrorist phenomenon," said Mottaki following talks with Syrian President Bashar Assad.
