The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud will start on Monday October 29, 2007 a several-day official visit to Britain in response to an official invitation from Queen Elizabeth II of Britain. The visit aims to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest. This visit is of particular importance in light of rapid regional and international changes that require exchanging views and coordinating stands between the Kingdom and the friendly countries among which Britain holds a distinguished position. The Saudi-British relations were established by late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill during their historic meeting on February 17, 1945 in Egypt. These relations have witnessed continuous development in all fields to achieve mutual interests for the two countries and their peoples. --More
