At least nine people were killed and 2 were severely injured when a passenger bus ran off the road and plunged into a river on Friday in east China's Zhejiang Province, Xinhua quoted the local government as confirming. The bus, carrying around 30 people and heading for Linnan town from Shangyu City, veered into a river at 5:10 p.m. in an attempt to avoid bumping into a motor bicycle. The nine dead include eight adults and one child aged 6. The two injured have been rushed to the nearby hospital after the accident and are now receiving the medical treatment. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
