Delegations participating in the 29th session of King Abdulaziz International Contest for the Holy Quran Memorization, Intonation and Interpretation have started arriving in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The contest, organized by the Ministry of Islamic affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance will start its activities on Monday at the Intercontinental Hotel in Makkah. So far, the Afghan, Ugandan and Pakistani delegations have arrived. As many as 167 competitors from 96 countries and 71 Islamic societies and organizations from various parts of the world are participating in the contest. An amount of SR 888,000 have been allocated for the first five winners of each of the contest's five branches.
