Bosnia-Herzegovina has protested over the beginning of work on the new coastal bridge in Croatia which is to connect the country's southern coast with the Peljesac peninsula near Bosnia's territory, DPA quoted Bosnian media as reporting Thursday. "Unilateral moves of the Republic of Croatia do not help friendly relations between Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia, but additionally complicate the border issue between the two states," Muslim member of Bosnia's tripartite state Presidency Haris Silajdzic said in a written statement. Bosnia-Herzegovina was not against Croatia's sovereign right to connect its territories, "but not in way that violates rights and interests of Bosnia-Herzegovina," he said. The disputed bridge, to be 55 metres high and 2.3 kilometres long, is to connect Komarna on the Croatia's southern coast and Peljesac peninsula, passing through water and land territories where borders between the two states were not completely defined.
