Saudi and Finnish Officials discuss economic and trade ties

Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry Abdul-Mohsin Al-Ekas received here today the visiting Finnish Minister of Trade and Industry, Mauri Pekkarinen.
They reviewed aspects of bolstering economic and trade relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Finland.
Al-Ekas urged the Finnish businessmen to increase their imports from the Kingdom.
He briefed the guest on the economic reforms in the Kingdom, and said they would positively contribute to the improvement of the investment environment in the country.
The volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and Finland amounted in 2006 to SR 4, 396 million, while Finland ranked the 14th in the list of the countries exporting to the Kingdom.
The joint Saudi-Finnish projects operational in the Kingdom totals 13 with an invested capital of SR1, 654 million.
