Taiwan on Thursday issued a sea warning for Typhoon Krosa which was moving slowly towards Taiwan from the Philippine Sea, reported dpa. By 5:30 pm (0930 GMT), the centre of Krosa was 690 kilometres south-west of Taiwan's southern tip, moving at 15 kilometres per hour (kph) in a northwesterly direction towards Taiwan, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said. Lekima forced evacuation of tens of thousands of people in coastal areas on Hainan Island and in Vietnam, leaving at least 3 dead and 58 injured in Vietnam.
