The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Atiyyah asserted that addressing Iraq's issue should be borne by the international community, holding Iraq's leaders the responsibility for searching for a formula to ensure the achievement of national reconciliation. In a press statement today, Al-Atiyyah expressed satisfaction over the meetings held between the different political forces represented inside and outside the Parliament. "The GCC countries reject any separatist inclination. We always adhere to the unity of Iraq's land and people. At the same time, we are keen on not accepting any dealings with supporters of the draft fragmentation at the expense of the national project", Al-Atiyyah said.
