Unidentified gunmen shot dead a senior police officer and his two bodyguards in Pakistan s Balochistan province late Wednesday night, police said. Superintendent of Police (Investigations) Syed Shehryab Ali and the two bodyguards were killed and two others critically wounded in the attack in Killi Ismail in Summungli area of Quetta city. Ali, along with his police team, was patrolling in the Killi Ismail area when they were ambushed, police said. The assailants sprayed Ali s vehicle with bullets from automatic weapons, killing him on the spot. His two bodyguards sustained bullet injuries and breathed their last on way to hospital.
