Shuailiybya plant / Phase III /to 150 thousand cubic meters per day to meet the growing need for water in Jeddah Province. The report issued by SWCC stressed that the pipelines of Riyadh / Seder / Alwashem / Al Qassim were completed. Besides this, the corporation established 29 water pumping plants along those lines to pump the water to the desalination reservoirs amounting to 158 . The absorptive capacity of those reservoirs reaches nine million cubic meters to ensure the continuity of water flow through the pipes at fixed rates. The adopted budget of SWCC for the financial year 1425 / 1426 amounted to SR 2.359 billion invested to achieve high level of performance programs especially in the operation and maintenance of the plants, water transporting systems, continuing the programs of the corporation in the reconstruction of desalination plants, producing electrical power and completing some projects during next few years. The new projects approved in the budget for the fiscal year 1424 / 1425 HR were awarded for establishment of the third phase of Alwajh desalination plant with a capacity of 9000 cubic meters per day, establishment of the third phase of Aomlej desalination plant with capacity 9000 cubic meters, establishment of the second stage of Rabegh desalination plant with a capacity of 22.500 cubic meters per day, establishment of Farasan desalination plant with a capacity of 12.000 cubic meters per day in addition to the establishment of Qunfudah desalination plant with a capacity of 9000 cubic meters and Alleith desalination plant with a capacity of 4 500 cubic meters. In the budget for fiscal year 1426/1427H , an amount of SR 4.200.000.000 was approved for the projects of desalination plants and transporting desalinated water. --More
