Governor of the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) Fahd Al-Sharif has affirmed keenness of the Corporation to continue works on improving its performance, notably maintenance of Water stations and its transportation systems. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, he said 99 percent of allocations of SWCC in the first and second chapters for the fiscal year 1424-1425H, 100 percent of the fourth chapter which was pertaining to projects, and 95 percent of the third chapter relating to operation and maintenance, had already been spent. He noted that an amount of SR 2, 466 million were allocated for the SWCC in the fiscal year 1424-1425H, while SR 2, 257 million will be allocated for the fiscal year 1425-1426H. Citing future projects due to be implemented, Al-Sharif said they include the third phase of the desalination station in Wajh with a productive capacity of 9000 cubic meters per day, the third phase of the desalination station in Almluj with a productive capacity of 9000 cubic meters per day, the second phase of the desalination station in Rabigh with a productive capacity of 22, 500 cubic meters per day, as well as the implementation of the project of Fursan desalination station with a productive capacity of 12,000 cubic meters, implementation of the project of the desalination project in Qunfuza with a productive capacity of 4500 cubic meter per day.
