A bomb threat forced the evacuation of a Florida military veterans' hospital on Tuesday morning, according to AP. Patients in good enough condition to be moved were taken out of Bay Pines VA Healthcare System in St. Petersburg, along with non-essential employees, as bomb investigators search the area after the 7:45 a.m. (1145 GMT) threat, officials said. It was not immediately known how many patients were escorted out. Hospital spokeswoman Faith Belcher said critical care patients who would be in greater danger if moved would remain inside. The campus has about 30 buildings covering roughly 300 acres (120 hectares).
