Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Al-Siniora inaugurated here today the conference of donor states for the reconstruction of Nahr Al-Bared camp and the relief of the camp and its adjacent villages affected by the recent fighting. The conference was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Dr Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khojah, Arab and foreign ambassadors, a number of ministers, representatives of institutions and associations, international organizations and the United Nations. In his speech, the Saudi ambassador said that Saudi Arabia values the great steadfastness of the Lebanese government and army in eliminating the hotbeds of terrorism. As regards assistance to refugees in Nahr Al-Bared camp, Dr. Khojah said that Saudi Arabia has contributed $ 12 million to residents of Nahr Al-Bared camp since the start or during the battle in coordination with United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Premier Siniora. He emphasized the responsibility of the world community to contribute to reconstructing the camp and assisting its residents in a right way that ensures their return and living a dignified life in peace and security.
