Arab League Ministerial Council (Foreign Ministers level) concluded a one-day meeting here today. Dr. Nizar bin Obeid Madani, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, led Saudi Arabia's delegation to the meeting. The Ministers reiterated their countries commitment to fair and comprehensive peace as a strategic option, saying that peace is integral and should take place in the region through Israeli withdrawal from all Arab territories it occupied in 1967 and conclusion of a just and agreed upon solution of the refugees problem. The meeting supported U.S. President Bush positive points calling for the establishment of two independent states, halt of settlements, end of colonization, reach of agreement on the chronic problems including the occupied Al-Quds and refugees and the transfer of Palestinian taxes amounts barred by Israel. The meeting also supported the convening of an international peace conference to be attended by Syria, Lebanon and Palestine to launch direct negotiations at all levels.
