Seven security personnel including five Frontier Constabulary (FC) officials and two policemen were killed and several others wounded in an attack by unidentified miscreants on an FC check post in Pakistan s North West Frontier Province (NWFP), officials said. The attack took place in Char Bagh area of Swat Thursday night. The militants blew up a police van, which arrived on the spot to provide help to FC officials after they were attacked with some explosive material. According to officials, the police van was dispatched from Khozakhela to help FC officials. The militants fired rockets and mortars. Security forces retaliated.
