Saudi relief assistance ordered by The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to assist the Sudanese people recently inflicted by rains and floods was inaugurated here on Wednesday and the Convoy of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was launched from Khartoum. A speech ceremony was held on this occasion. Saudi Ambassador to Sudan Mohammed Abbas Al-Kilabi said that the King's order to provide urgent aid to Sudan embodies strong and firm relations binding the two countries and stressed the Kingdom's continual stand in support of Sudan at all times. He noted that the assistance is an extension of political, economic and commercial cooperation between the Kingdom and Sudan. On his part, Sudan's Minister of Human Affairs Ahmed Mohammed Haroun expressed his appreciation of and thanks to the King and the Saudi people for assisting and supporting his country.
