The Second Saudi Relief Airplane, carrying 79 tons of food supplies, tents and blankets arrived today at Khartoum's International Airport. The cargo plane was received by Saudi Ambassador to Sudan Mohammed Abbas Al-Kelabi; the Head of Saudi Relief team Mohammed Ibrahim Assubait and a number of Saudi and Sudanese officials. Assubait said in a press statement to SPA that the aid cargo of the second plane was delivered to the Sudanese Government so as to distribute its contents among the needy. He added that the Saudi relief team will hold a meeting with Sudanese Relief Commission and Sudanese Red Crescent to set up a comprehensive plan to distribute the relief supplies to the affected people in Sudan. On his part, the Acting Secretary general of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society Mostafa Mohammed Othman said the Saudi Relief is the largest support operation for the affected people from torrential rains and floods that hit some areas recently. He expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul-aziz and the Saudi people on this noble gesture.
