A Saudi cargo plane, laden with 80 tons of relief aid, arrived in Khartoum today within the Saudi air lift to assist the needy in the civil war-stricken region of Darfur, western Sudan. The consignment, consisting of 3000 food basket, 2000 carpet piece, power generator and medical appliances and medicine, was received by representatives of the Saudi Red Crescent in Sudan and Sudanese officials. In Darfur, a Saudi medical and health team assumed duties to establish a health center and specialized clinics throughout the region.
