Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani received here yesterday Khalid Mishal, the chief of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, The meeting was attended by Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber al-Thani and the Chief of the Emiri Diwan (court) Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Saud al-Thani. After the meeting, the prime minister said the Emir had asserted the need to unify the Palestinian ranks and called for resolving the differences between Fatah and Hamas movements through dialogue, negotiations and commitment to the Makkah pact, according to a report published today by Doha-based Gulf Times.
