UAE, Turkmenistan sign accords

The United Arab Emirates and Turkmenistan yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations and an agreement on cultural cooperation.
The MoU was signed by Dr Tariq Al Haidan, Acting Under Secretary of the Foreign Ministry and Rashid Meredov, Turkmenistan's Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet and Minister of Foreign Affairs, while the agreement was signed by Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development and Kakgeldi Charyyar Durdyyev, Turkmenistan's Minister of Culture and Broadcasting.
The signing ceremony was attended by a number of officials, the UAE news agency "WAM" reported.
