The Ministry of Water and Electricity sent recently requests of quotations for the second contract of privatizing Jeddah Water and Sewage network. The ministry uses Public Private Partnership (PPP) in an international competition for the management, operation and maintenance of water and sewage network in Jeddah city. The ministry has completed earlier verification of 7 international consortiums to bid in this competition out of a total of 84 local and international companies. The contract will include the supervision of management , operation, maintenance of water and sanitation system. It also includes the management and development of client services, revenue collection and reduction of leaks in addition to the development, training and rehabilitation of the existing staff to upgrade the performance of the sector.
