CRA International, a worldwide leader in providing management, economics, and financial consulting services, has received an award from the National Water Company of Saudi Arabia, for its role as strategic and lead advisor to the Ministry of Water and Electricity on a public-private partnership (PPP) project. The project is designed to improve the water distribution and waste collection infrastructure system in Jeddah, which is a rapidly growing city with a population of more than three million. CRA managed the project's overall strategy and implementation, and coordinated a group of four other international advisory firms working with the Ministry on the infrastructure system. The project will increase the capacity and operating efficiency of Jeddah's water supply networks and expand coverage of the city's sewerage network to meet growing demand from residents and businesses. CRA and its partners in the advisory team advised the ministry on the ideal PPP model to address Jeddah's water and wastewater needs; the scope of services needed to establish a successful model; the solicitation of bidders; the appropriate contracting mechanisms; and the selection of the best qualified partners to work with the National Water Company to complete the development project. __
