Oil Corp., GS Caltex Corp., and SK Corp. The visits were coordinated by Saudi Petroleum Ltd.-Tokyo, which is responsible for Saudi Aramco's sales and marketing support activities in both countries. The visit consisted of tours of bulk plants, airport fueling operations and customer service centers, as well as knowledge and experience exchange sessions. The D&TO team explored opportunities in the refined-products supply value chain, new concepts in distribution research and development activities and automation, cutting-edge practices in both operations and maintenance activities, energy conservation, operational strategic alliances, and investment programs, including third-party investments in the secondary distribution sector. “All of the companies we visited expressed eagerness to build and extend their existing relationship with Saudi Aramco into new areas,” said Al-Saadi. “This strongly reflects the high potential for further collaborative opportunities among the leaders in the industry in their respective markets.” As a result of this interest, D&TO extended invitations to all six companies to participate in its forthcoming best-practice forum and exhibition, set for November in Dhahran.
