In keeping with Saudi Aramco's commitment to achieving best-in-class performance, representatives of the company's Distribution and Terminal Operations (D&TO) organization recently visited Japan and Korea to observe refined-product distribution best practices and exchange information on emerging technologies with leading petroleum companies in those markets. During a visit to one of Idemitsu Kosan's bulk plants, the Saudi Aramco delegation gets an opportunity to inspect equipment used to load refined products on tanker trucks, according to a report of Saudi Aramco's web-site. “Building strategic alliances with such global leaders will assist D&TO in accelerating its transformation into a more dynamic and responsive model,” said Ahmad A. Al-Saadi, acting executive director of Distribution and Terminal Operations, who led the delegation. “These firms operate under the highest environmental standards and achieve outstanding results in the area of energy-efficient utilization,” he added, noting that the visits allowed D&TO and the local companies to share information, build mutual understanding and discuss state-of-the-art distribution technologies. --MORE
