Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior, issued a decision on Monday 23 July 2007 regarding the major crimes whose perpetrators should be arrested. The decision will be effective as of 14 August 2007. The decision listed the major crimes whose perpetrators should be arrested as follows: 1- Crimes punishable by death or amputation. 2- Intentional or semi-intentional murder. 3- Terrorism crimes in addition to crimes against state security. 4- Cases of drugs and psychotropic substances, weapons and ammunition, money counterfeit, forgery, bribery, impersonating of an official or money laundering punishable by two year imprisonment. 5- Car theft. --More
